I couldn't find much info about installing these levers so I hope this helps some one. I'm going to list a couple questions at the bottom of the page please feel free to comment.

  • 4mm hex wrench
  • Q-Tips

Parts needed:

  • CRG Brake levers
  • Grease

Learning and informational resources:

For this project I couldn't find much info about installing the levers. I looked at both manuals.
If you know of any good tutorials let me know.

lever install steps:

  1. feel free play of stock levers and look at how all the switch attach
  2. loosen lever pin nut
  3. remove lever pin
  4. clean pivot area
  5. grease pivot area
  6. put on new lever
  7. tighten pin nut
  8. adjust free play
  9. test levers
  10. set the lever for the right reach for your grip

Questions:

  • Does anyone know the torque setting for the pin nut? I tightened it to where it was when I took it off
  • Is there a measured way to check the freeplay. I made them the same as the stock levers. But I feel like the clutch might be engaging closer to the beginning of the pull than before.
